A good idea ruined by hundreds of pages of mind numbing trivia. Does anyone really want to read so many pages about obtaining a black skirt or tying a parcel, and those awful kids, why go on about them so much when they contribute nothing to the story, after a while i found myself skipping ever page where I saw their names.All of the main characters were completely useless, and I don't believe they would really be allowed to time travel to the blitz without a responsible adult to look after them.
Then after reading this very long book about very little, I discover that is is only half the book and the second one is even longer.
On one hand I like the idea of the story and want to see how it turns out, but on the other I don't want to wade through the irrelevant trivia.
